What we fixed on this page

Every form on this page is fillable online. All four were PDF-only on the previous site. Submissions route to the correct office and the applicant gets a copy by email.

The four permits the Police Jury issues, each one fillable on this page. Open the application you need — no printing, no faxing, no trip to Room 102 unless you want one.

Road permit

Required before any work in the parish right of way — a culvert, a driveway crossing, utility work. Applications must be returned to the Police Jury office to receive a permit number.

Electrical & building permit

Sanitarian information

Sewage and sanitation permits are handled by the Louisiana Department of Health, not the Police Jury. The parish sanitarian covers Winn Parish and can be reached through the Office of Public Health in Alexandria.

If your project involves a septic system, a sewer connection, or a food service establishment, start with the state — the parish permit is issued after theirs.

What happens after you send it. You get a reference number immediately and a copy by email. The office reviews the application, calls you if anything is missing, and issues the permit number — usually within two business days for a road permit. Nothing is a permit until that number is issued.

Neither form stores anything you cannot see. Applications are kept as records, the same as the paper ones, and are not published anywhere on this site.
